Que Sera Sera

So May's almost over, sorry about that.

I have not been posting on my internet website because I’ve been too busy having a really happy real life. Lately my days go like this: wake up, eat breakfast made for me by my wonderful boyfriend, shower, none of your business, fun outing, eat a dinner cooked for me by my wonderful boyfriend, play Shithead, watch an episode of The Wire or 30 Rock, late night ice cream, none of your business, bedtime, start all over again. Today’s wake up was at 1:30 pm and the breakfast was an ice cream sandwich, but today was a holiday so that’s allowed.

I am not only dating someone who can cook, but someone who likes the fact that I can’t cook. Because it means the kitchen is all his. I don’t know how to boil an egg. I imagine you need an egg and a water, but I’m not really interested in any further steps. And now I have someone else telling me I don’t have to be! He can also braid my hair better than I can, as well as do a lot of other much more important stuff better than any other dude I’ve ever dated before, but I won’t go into that here because my mother might read this. MOM NICK AND I ARE HOLDING HANDS WHILE WE SAY OUR PRAYERS EVERY NIGHT BEFORE BED. He also carries all the grocery bags home every single time. I know!

He’s going out of town for a few days, and he’s preparing and freezing some meals for me so I won’t eat my normal dinner of popsicles and carrots and hummus while he’s away. In return, I have washed his clothes and am allowing him to add films to my Netflix queue from the category “Movies Most Like Summer School.”

I am so very happy, but a little scared I’m about to turn into those people who I’ve been avoiding at parties for the past few years, those people who watch The Wire and discuss joining the food co-op. Oh how I struggle.
