My Friend Flicka

My friend Sarah Hatter custom-made this skirt for me. I mean, completely tailor-made, every single detail: I told her I’d seen this cool skirt with a red horse on it, and showed her the link, and she was like, “Pfft! $50? I can make that.” Which is how my mom used to talk me out of clothes back in the day, only Sarah Hatter one-upped my mom by ACTUALLY MAKING ME THE SKIRT. She had me get out my favorite skirt and take measurements so it would fit the same, and then she bested that other expensive horse skirt by making mine with better fabric and a cooler horse, and then she went and named it after me. She’s going to sell it on her soon-to-be-officially-launched site, sewjobs.com, as the Limited Edition Sarah Brown Skirt. (I’ve been told that the limited edition part means she’ll only make five more like this with the horse, but if you email her, she’ll make you a plain Sarah Brown Skirt in the same style, but it can have whatever you want on it, like a squirrel or a skull and crossbones or whatever.)
Clothing named after me! Surely now I have arrived! This must be just how a Kathie Lee pantsuit feels! Except that I know more English.
